Last.fm’s updated Scrobbler apps for Windows, OS X and Linux are free and available now. System Restore is a utility which comes with Windows operating systems and helps computer users restore the system to a previous state and remove programs. We got the radio working without a subscription, but Last.fm tells us that this is a bug that is being removed. Whereas it was previously free in the US, UK and Germany, it’s now for subscribers only in those countries too. It remains as a paid-for subscription feature in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland and Brazil. ./Last.fm.exe -stylesheet path/to/Last.fm.css On Linux, if you have not run make install, you can run the app like this from the root of the source directory: bin/lastfm-scrobbler -stylesheet app/client/Last.fm\ Scrobbler. The new updates were released on Tuesday, coinciding with the launch of Last.fm’s new radio policy, which saw the radio feature withdrawn in most countries due to changes to licensing restrictions. For Mac/Windows, crop image to application window only (not entire desktop). Adding to the social features, you can now share what you’re listening to on Facebook and Twitter, from the app. The file Last.fm Scrobbler.exe is located in a subfolder of C:Program Files (x86) (for instance C:Program Files (x86)Last.fm). The Friends tab snows you what your friends are listening to and lets you quickly start playing any that takes your fancy, if you’re a paid-up subscriber. Additional new features include a better view of recently scrobbled songs, offering you the ability to tag, share, buy or mark songs as ‘loved’.
